BLOG 3.5 - DTM/Country Profile Discussion - DUE 1/28 for credit

After reviewing the DTM and the assigned country profiles, students need to answer the following questions:

1. Describe your country's quality of life - consider life expectancy rates, income, poverty rates, educational opportunities, diseases, etc)

2. In what stage of the DTM is your country?

3. What factors (be country specific) influence your country's population growth?

4. Predict your country's economic status in 10 years based on its current DTM status. Will it be a LEDC? NIC? MEDC?

5. Discuss transnational issues that affect your country's growth (focus on major economic activities - illegal and legal)

6. Would you visit your country based on the information obtained from the CIA World Factbook? Explain.

My country is in stage 2 because of High birth rate. The population is 27,223,228 people. There aren't really that many causes of disease. In about 10 years the country will be over populated and will run out of natural resources. No I wouldn't visit my country based on what factbook said because they are explaining that you would be forced to do labor.

IM LATE

My country's qaulity of life is very high, most of the people there have a high standard of life and good education opportunities. They have the highest DTM stafe and the factors that influence Brazil's population growth are education, the vacationing, and there weather. In ten years Brazil may be overpopulated, they may have alot of money but they would soon run out. Major economic activities that affect my counrty's growth is what they import and export. I would visit Brazil because they have good weather and cute boys.

My county is Haiti and it's quality is very, very poor. Their the poorest country in the western hemisphere. 80% of it's population lives under the proverty line. Haiti is affected with AIDS. That was and probabley is the number 1 killer there. Haitians barely have education, were just going to say that they dont because of the condition of their living and the earthquake probabley knock it down. in 10 years i still see Haiti as the poorest country in the western hemisphere, but with more money than they do now. I always wanted to visit Haiti and meet my father's side but afterthe earthquake i changed my mind. The reason is because they have to many diseases and my body might not can fight them. Another reason is that everyone is poor and living on the streets and that is so sad. I might want to help everyone i see but i cant afford too. Maybe years from now i will consider going there when they get cleaned up and the air diseases go away somehow.

IM LATE

Argentina's population was estimated at 36.1 million inhabitans by the year 2001, 50% of which living in the capital city and in the province of Buenos Aires. Almost the totality of its population (97%) is white, due to the relevant contribution of European immigration in the beginning of the 20th century (mainly Spaniards and Italians). In the last decades, immigration movements are primarily originated in the neighboring countries and in the Asia-Pacific region.
Its at stage 3 of the DTM .
birth rate

death rate

immigration

emigration

population growth rate

fecundity

biotic or intrinsic factors

exponential population growth

logistic population growth

density dependent environmental resistance factors

density independent environmental resistance .

my country's economic status in 10 years will be over populated it will be at stage 5 it already at stage 3
The growth rate will impact if people keep having babies
Yes i would visit my country just to see how it is .

My country is Hati. Hati's quality of life is really bad. The life expectancy is 60 years for males and 63 years for women. 2.2% of the country has aid or HIV. and 7200 people die from it every year. The food and water there is full of diseases. Most of the country lives in poverty, and if they don't their standard of living and quality of life is really low.

This country is in stage 1 of the DTM. The factors that infuence my countries population growth are Disease such as AIDS/HIV, bacterial infections, and hepatitis A and E. Natural Disaters such as Hurricanes, droughts, and earthquakes.

I believe in the next 10 years Hati will be a NIC. I say this because since the earthquake last year everyone now sees how badly off Hati is. Last year Hati got so much help and support. I believe thatr this will continue through the years, and sooner or later the country will develop into a NIC.

The transnational issues that affect my countries growth are illegal migration. This occurs when citizens from Hati leave and move to places like The Dominican Republic. Another would be illegal distribution of drugs such as cocaine. It is said that colombian narcotic traffickers like Haiti because of its illicit finacial transactions.

I wouldn't vsit my country. The reason behind this is that this country is really low. They bearely have enough food to feed themselves let alone feed outsiders, and with all the diseases going around there it is really likely that because my body wouldn't be used to that kind of environment that i would have a greater chance of catching one of those diseases. The only reason i would go down there is if i was volunteering, but i would have to be years older, and I might not do it then either.

I am Late: The New York Times -Italian Prime Minister Scandal

I believe that is crazy how people you respect and look up to have secrets and things you wouldn’t believe such as a "Minister". That to me proves that there is more to see than you actually can with your eyes and judgment. This helps me to have an open mind about people and not to trust everything...

I have found a Really Good Scandal of a really known Minister in the USA. This is an African American Pastor who is accused of a sex scandal with young men in his church although he is supposedly against people being gay. He has photos and messages sent to the boys that accused him of being with them. This pastor is very looked up to people in the US even presidents.
