EXCELLENT EXAMPLE:
I do not believe that televising executions would serve the public well. We are already a reality-TV nation, we watch: relationships start and end, the lives of homicide detectives, the search for haunted houses, the lives of dog catchers, would-be singers, aspiring soap stars, would-be supermodels, girls who don’t do anything but just “act up” – the list goes on and on. Some TV shows are like train wrecks – we know we shouldn’t watch them but we can’t look away when they’re on. Executions would eventually become fodder for the bored, the conspiracy theorists, aspiring criminals, and children too young to understand what they would be watching. Maybe more attention should be spent on how to keep people from ending up on death row, rather than who else can be exploited by reality TV. Here’s an article on ABCnews.com about Oklahoma City Bomber Timothy McVeigh’s desire to have his execution televised:

NO Credit Example:

I think it should, it might make people stop committing crimes.

This post is unacceptable – the student offers an opinion but does not give an in-depth explanation as to why he or she believes that opinion.
