I think that the Author's main point was to tell us that kids only eat certain foods because of cartoon characters. I think that he/she is right because it is true. Today there are so many advertisments persuading young kids and teens to do somehting. For example when kida are watching television with food, pizza and snacks then they are going to want to eat. They might not be hungry but because that certain commercial was on that is what they do. I think that technology does cntrol us. They dont advertise healthy food only junk food.
I believe they are right because when every one was younger when they saw their favorite cartoon character they just had to have the food label they was on. Also if you really liked a show and their on a lable you want it. Plus now that they give out the toys with the foodn they begg their parnets to go to the place.
This article was mainly about cartoon characters on children favorite snacks and foods. They say if you take your child or children down a aisle in a grocery mart they would most likely want the food or item with their favorite character on it. Children now days don't care what it is as long as it has Dora The Explorer, Sherk, Spider Man, Spongebob, and etc. They will eat it and they say the kids proberly even thinks it tastes better.
The Researchers at Yale are absolutely correct. They have proven their hypothesis on the subject. Most kids (not all) will most likely pick the box or item with the character they like on it. Parents think companies should stop putting it on junk food, and start putting it on healthy things. So that their child or children are happy and healthy,
my name is derrick smith, and his main point was that the kids always go to the stuff the have the cartoons on it and maybe even want anything that have a cartoon on it, because they see it on t.v. and they know the cartoon that is on the box.
But the author main point was that kids just see a cartoon character on a cereal box an all a sudden they want that dont even no wat it taste like.Some times i think the reason why kids always like the cereal with there favrit cartoon character on it because they still kids and they realy dont no wat it taste like they just eaten cause it got a cartoon character.
Today in the story I read that childrens will buy/want anything that got they favorite character cartoons on. Also parents don't think they should make junk food out of cartoons because it makes thier child unhealthy, everytime they go shopping they would expect thier favorite cartoon character food. I think they should make healthier food out of cartoons like veggies, fruits, an other. I just don't think little childrens are interesting in this I think teens are to.
to me, whats being said is, kids want things that get there attetion, if the box says that it taste good then kids want it. i agree with the author when it comes to cartoon drawings if kids see it on anything in there minds they just have to have it whether it be food, toys, or clothes THEY know that they have to have it.
they may prefer this type of food because is is more fevealing to the kid. It also has a more of a come and look at it. most kids may even be more attracted to the colors.
The reserchers at Yale figure out that young children like things with cartoon characters on the box. I think that they think that the cartoons will be in the box or that the cereal is more funer and gooder.
When I was young I also, liked thiongs with cartoons characters on it I used to think it tates more better of that those characters used to eat the same cereal.
they found out that the kids had like the cartoons on the cereal boxes and i guess because they think the cereal is the cartoons on the box.
