Middle East 6 - Water Politics

Research the politics of the Jordan River in the Middle East and the Nile River in North Africa. Explain how water resources should be allocated and answer the following questions:

• How much water should be allocated for farming, for urban development, and for recreation?

• Why are the Palestinians and Jordanians disturbed over Israeli control of the Jordan River?

Agriculture is part of the historic culture in the flathead watershed and
continues contributes to its economic diversity unfortunalety some agricultural practices can also results in a significant source of pollution.Many things can be done to
reduce agriculture's potentially negative impacts on the watershed.The Jordan River orignates on the border of three countries,Israel,Lebanon,and Syria in a mountainous region.
