Last One!!! - 4/29

Yay! You've made it to the end of the year. Post a 2-3 paragraph reflection on what you have learned in this class or things you now think about before you took this class.

Now you can give someone else words of wisdom... Identify what the freshmen class could do next year to pass Global Studies...

What I learned in Mrs. Blakeney's class is everything. When we had started learning things I did not know the five themes of geography or all 60 key terms. I thought that I was going to flunk that class. But I had to keep on pushing myself so I wont have that class next year. When I first took that class I just thought we were going to learn out of books. I didnt think that it would be lectures everyday. I also didnt know that Ms. B would be funny.

My words of wisdom are to not get on Mrs. B's bad side and TURN in ALL of Ms. Blakeney's assaignments. Because when you dont turn in your work your grades will slip. And it is very hard to catch back up. And also do ALL of your blogs and extra credit assigments. Just turn in all your work, stay after school and also pay attention.

What i have learned in ms.b's class this year is alot of historical events that have happened in our world.i have learned about the world war, the soviet union, and why the United states are involved in war.some other things that i have learned in ms.b's class is how to do a mental map of countries and there geographic features.

Before i came into the class i though is was not gone be coo at all. but once i actually got involved into the class it was coo. i thought i was going to be allot easier that it is.

What the freshman class could do next year to pass the class is to do the blogs.another thing is to take good notes and study

First off I want to say Thank You Mrs.Blakeney for being a challenging teacher and for getting us engaged with the world. Anyways what I basically learned this year was about parts of the world Europe, Asia, Canada and some other countries. We learned the evolution of where we might have came from. I also learned the 5 themes of Geography. Which are Place, Location, HEI ( Human Environmental Interaction ), Movement and region. I also learned the difference between Mosaic Theory and Melting Pot theory. We discussed many differences and similarities between the Us and Canada. There were a lot of things that I didn't know about Canada. An interesting thing that I want forget about Canada is that most people there don't lock their doors. Well I learn sooo much about these religions: Judaism, Hinduism, Buddhism, Islam, Animism, and Christianity. I also learned thee Eight Fold Path. I learned about culture diffusion, language diffusion, globalization, colonization, and civilization.

To the class of 2015 I hope you look at some of the mistakes we made and try not to make those mistakes. Please Please Please blog do ALL homework assignments. Don't try to do all your stuff at the last minute. And if you are a person who likes to sleep in class you might want to be wide awake for this class because you will only get this class if you Listen and take notes. I wish you all the best of Luck..! Because you will need it :))

It feels like I have learned everything about the world I never knew. Usually I would asume things on certain people but being in Ms. B's class helped me understand the different culture types and belifes people have or the ones that they share.

Words of wisdom to Ms. B would to not grade so hard on some peoples work because they try hard on your work and I think you should loosen up a little because the freshan weren't always perfect. To the upcoming freshman of 2015, to pass Ms. B's class you MUST stay organized!!!

Basically i learned about everythimg like other students. Of course i learned about S.America, Europe, Asia, Africa and various locations. I must say i also learned about plenty of philosophies and religions , i thought that stage in your class was very interesting. We learned plenty of vocab words atleast over two hundred. I also learned how to look at the world in new ways and think about all the things other countries are gping through.
My advice for the class of 2015 , GET ON YOUR WORK IMMEDIATELY. I would say stay on them blogs because if you just doing some work thats not getting you anywhere in her class. secondly, i would say take good and accurate notes , those actually pay off for tests. But, overall i must say ms. B you personally made me kind of feel like i was college.

When i came to hogan i thought it would be easy to pass every class because at my old school i was always on honor roll and always had A's and B's. So i thought it would be easy to pass the classes and be on the honor roll. But it was alot harder then i thought. At frist i had bad grades in evey class. But now i have good grades in all my classes. I learned alot in Global Studies that my old school did not teach me.

The freshmen next year i think should do a modle of the whole world almost there on globe of the world, and put the names of evey contry, state, and capital in order to pass to the second semester.

First year, I was flunking AP Human Geography. I got moved to this class. I am suprised by how much I learned second semester. I first thought that this was just going to be a boring class just blabbing on an on and on about the boring things that happened in the past. Boy... was I wrong!!! The blogs also helped me further learn about what was going on in different countries. Thank God for an energetic, passionate teacher who puts the life in geography. I have found myself being very in formed of current events and I actually have the need to make a change in these countries, although I have no control YET.

I advise you to do the blogs because they really give you a helping hand. DO YOUR HOMEWORK...MS.B REALLY COULDNT EXPRESS THAT ENOUGH...have fun with it also, you dont have to make it boring if you dont want it to be boring. Put some good input towards your work and just do your best. Afterall, the class is not hard...we have to know the world we live in RIGHT?? I WISH YOU GOOD LUCK FUTURE FRESHMAN!!! =)

What i learned in this class is alot of things about the world like the middle east, africa, europe and the war over we are having with people over seas also I learned about atlanic slave trade.

At the begginning of the year i was not at all willing to learn i just wanted to come and play because it was freshmen year. Now I have learned how population has alot more than one definition. I also used to think that everything was hard until i actualy started comin in after school and asking questions.

This class have definately helped prepare me for further years to come and has also helped me to learn that hard work definately pays off. This class is a class that still is very challenging but it makes it that much mor esy once you ask questions and go that extra mile to furthur yourself.

In Global Studies is the different between darma and karma. I have learn many religions in to the United State to Africa all across th world. The one thing i learn to most is their are no excuses life can be let go if you choose to slip away because their are other people in the world that will like to have education, shelter or even the basic reources. Im glad I have the jump start of an opportunity to do something with myself I wish the best for all of us.

For the next freshmen class could do next year is to keep up with work and to be organized, next throw anything away keep finished work at ALL TIME.

What I learned in Ms.B's Class is alot of stuff. The first I learned is the five themes of geography. The six are Location, Place, Movement, HEI (Human Environmental Interaction), and Region. Another thing I learned is about Globlaization which means connection with other states or countries.

For the next freshman class next year, they should get ready, be prepared, and get ahead of the game cause its going to be hard.

I thought that I was going to flunk that class. But I had to keep on pushing myself so I wont have that class next year. Mrs.B was easy at the beginning but as we moving on work strated paling up. And she be acting mean some day but she a great teacher.

I learned more on religions from America to Africa. When i look at the environment i think of everything we learned in Geography. When i see a chinese man trying to sag or talk with slang i know that culture diffusion.

i learned about how the world is so different. And all off the different cultures we have.i must admit though when i 1st took this class i thought it was goin 2 be sooo boring.i just use 2 be n class jus looking around at other people.i look at the environment and i think about the stuff i learned n Geography.what i like about this class is when we have our class disscusion. we really be havin good ideas about the world.
4 the freshmans coming n next year i think they should get ready 4 high school. Also dont think its go be easy because its not.

what i have learned in Ms.B's Global studies class is many countries and cities culture and how they live a daily life. their were soo many Vocab words i cant even count, that i have now know about. It was so much things i learned in global studies about ALL around the world.

Being in Ms. B's class for the whole school year; was so difficult and stressful at the same time it could get fun in her class. But at the end of the day i knew that i had to learn about those things sooner or later. For the upcoming freshmans you need to reall stay on top of your game n=in global studies class because every little assignment counts. all you can do is do your best.

What i learned in this class for the year is the i learned the first humans and what they look like how they lived and what they are. I learned about the five themes of geography. We also learned about the whole world in different places i would never think about even looking at step at a time. I learned bout the different religions and beliefs even more about my religious.

I also learned in this class how people and they family live across the world which i find very disappointed in some places how they treat woman.

When i first took this class i thought it was going to be easy but then out of no where i was failing but now im passing so im happy this school year is over!

I learned in Ms. B's class is about the women in Iran and how they still was treated different. I also learned about the different culurals.

I came at the end of the school year and one thing your going to learn is that Ms.B is not accepting late work. The class is hard if you don't keep up with your blogs. My words of wisdom to the new freshman tht come and take this class is to do all your work /hw and do your blogs.

When I first came I honestly thought I wasnt going to be able to make it threw Ms.B's class. She seemed really hard & mean. When I started getting use to doing her work, and being in her class it started getting easier. I learned that the work isnt hard if you try & know what your doing. I didnt know alot of the things we learned befor I came.

I learned about differnet countries and their differences/simliarities between the U.S. I learned about cultures in different states also. The biggest thing that I like working on was Africa & learing about the differnet parts in Africa.

#MsB class is EASY:)

I have learned a lot in Ms.Blakney's classroom this year. One thing that i have learned is different cultures and religions. We have learned about Asia,Ausrtalia,Anartica, and a lot more places. They are different in a lot and many ways.

Another thing that i have learned is regions and how it is in other cities and country's. I think these are some of the things that we are going to learn next year. I definately think that we are learning more than a usual freshman. It will help me in life because i will be prepared. We have been through the worst, so thank you for putting up with me!

well i am pleased to write my last blog. i have learned many things in this class concerning the world and events. i have learned how to search for things on the internet the write why and how to takes notes two different ways. also i have learned how to take the time and read between the lines for my answer. and how to make my answer sound very highly educated.

what i think now of this class before i took it is its harder than i thought, and its going to take more time and more attention then my other seven classes. but every hour spent in this class has in some way benefited me and in my other classes
some advice i would give to the freshmen's next year would be to have a nice big O binder. And to keep every assignment you give. also find a way you like to take notes and takes notes all the time. in again keep them until the end of the year.

My freshman yr in Ms.B was very intresting I learned about the world in just one yr. I learned how to read birth nd the death chat. We may have had a lot of work and a little time to do it but you was just getting us ready for the rest of high school nd preparing us for college. I have learned a lot of things this yr somethings were old and somethings were new. But over all I have learned a lot of fun things.

I think that the freshman should get a taste of what the learning expresses of Ms.B. You should stay with the freshman till next year. We have got our expresses. The freshman should get to expresses the world like we did and see how they react to ALL that work nd such little time...:)

What i learned in Ms. B's class was, i learned stuff about each continient, and the different cultures and inds of people that live there. I also learnedabout the geography of these places, and how they effect the people and the way they live. I learned alot of vocabulary word also.

I also learned about How people follow different rules than we do. they might have different laws and they live completely different than we do. Some people treat their women like crap, and in some countries women have to do everything because that is what their tradition is. I learned about how different religions around the world were created and where they are now.

Something the freshman can do to pass the class is to stay after school, and don't waste time on stuff that isn't relevant to the topic

* sorry couldnt blog Friday, I was at an out of town funeral *

Throught this whole school year the I've learned in class is that the world communicates to each other without just using language. The camparing The U.S and my home an the I lived and have compared to children in Africa or even East Asia was very interesting. Yeah we live in to different continents and have different religions, cultures, and traditions but yet we have similaties such as, education, age groups, clothes, and electranics etc.

I also learned that there are many many ways people across the world beliefs on how life was made. I always thought what I believed was the only way. I realized that the religions I dont't believe in are not wrong or "delivlish". Even though I am a christian, being in this class makes me wonder if theres really a Heaven & Hell.?

Even I don't like geography this class was very very interesting. and I've learned so much.

Before I Took This Class, I Always Thought Of Geography As Different Types Of Cultures. But From Taking This Class I Learned That It Is Wayy More Than That, And That Geography Has To Do With The World On A Much Higher Bases. I Learned ALOT Of Terms In This Class,Like Cultural Diffusion & Etc. I Learned The Difference Between Expansive,Stable,Stationary, & Constrictive Pyrimads. And I Also Wish I Would Of Tooken This Class On A More Serious Level.

What I Have To Say To Class Of 2015 Is, 1.Take This Class SERIOUSLY. 2.Do ALL Blogs, Because Blogs,HW,Test & Quizes Are The MOST IMPORTANT Things To Do In This Class. And 3. To Atleast Make An Effort To Learn Something, Because This Will Truely Get You Somewhere In Life, And Also A Better Understanding Of Geography.
